According to the information, in a village of Lohaghat block, a grandfather raped his five-year-old innocent granddaughter. The innocent girl told her mother about this evil act of her cousin grandfather. On Sunday, the mother of the innocent girl reached Lohaghat police station and filed a complaint against the accused and demanded strict action. The police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him.
Police station in-charge Ashok Kumar said that on the complaint of the mother of the innocent girl, the police have registered a case under the POCSO Act against the accused cousin. The investigation of the case has been handed over to Pancheshwar Kotwali SI Pinky Dhami. The accused has been arrested. Action is being taken to present him in the court.
The station in-charge said that the accused had committed the crime between June and July. This is the first case registered in Lohaghat police station under the Indian Judicial Code. A case of assault has also been registered against the accused's wife. He said that when the mother of the innocent child informed the accused's wife about this incident, the accused's wife beat up the mother of the innocent child, on which the police have also registered a case of assault against the accused's wife.
