Gopalganj, 22 July (HS). Gopalganj police got a big success when on the basis of secret information the police arrested two active members of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Police has also recovered 04 Australia made Glock pistols from the notorious criminal. Police has taken this action at Balthari checkpost of Kuchaykot police station. The arrested notorious criminal Kamal Rawat is a resident of Ajmer, Rajasthan. While the other notorious criminal Santanu Shivam is a resident of Muzaffarpur.
In this case, SP Swarn Prabhat said that Kuchaykot police has arrested two interstate arms smugglers. Both arms smugglers are active members of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang. One of the arms smugglers is a resident of Ajmer, Rajasthan. 04 foreign-imposed pistols have been recovered from him. On interrogation of both the arrested smugglers by SDPO Pranjal Kumar and the DIU team, it was found that this gang had the intention of carrying out a major incident in Muzaffarpur and Motihari districts.
SP said that for further investigation, contact is being established with the police of Ajmer and other related districts. Police will take both the criminals on remand and interrogate them further.
