Ancient Gauri Shankar Temple
This temple of Lord Shiva is in Chandni Chowk, Delhi. It is said that the Shivling inside this temple is 800 years old. This temple was built by a Maratha soldier who was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. There is a popular story about the temple. It is said that when a Maratha soldier was injured in the war, he prayed to Lord Shiva and saved his life. He started building a Shiva temple. To fulfill his promise, he built the Shiva temple.
Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple
This ancient temple of Lord Shiva is in Vaishali Sector 4 of Ghaziabad in Delhi NCR. This temple is visible from the stairs of this metro station. Along with this, the nearby Gulmohar Shivalayam is also famous. Every year in the month of Shravan, there is a crowd of devotees in this temple.
