Twelve people were killed when a pool collapsed due to torrential rains in northern China. International news agencies have said that more than 30 are missing. China's Xinhua quoted that northwestern Shaanxi province was hit by heavy rains overnight on Friday. The floods caused the pools to collapse due to weak construction.

In this incident that took place in Shangluo city, tourists died after their cars fell into the pool. An eyewitness told local media that the driver of a car going over the pool was asked to brake and stop, but a driver did not follow it and proceeded towards the pool, during which the cars breaking the pool also fell down.
