Magdi Eissa, a 45-year-old man from Egypt, has set a record for visiting 7 wonders of the world in just 6 days, 11 hours and 52 minutes. Magdi started the journey from the Great Wall of China. Then he visited the Taj Mahal in India, Petra in Jordan, the Colosseum in Rome, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, Machu Picchu in Peru and finally the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza.

For this record attempt, only public transport designated for the Guinness World Book of Records was allowed. The Guinness Book allows private vehicles. According to Magdi, an Egyptian citizen, planning to break the record was a challenging task. The preparation and planning went on for a year and a half. Navigating flights, trains, buses and transit centers was a huge task.

A single hitch during a visit to any one place was enough to derail the entire program. Magdi Isa did extensive research before arriving at the travel destinations. Few people had the experience of taking an overnight transatlantic flight to Rio de Janeiro. Reaching Machu Picchu in Peru was a major challenge that took more than a day.

Had to change vehicles several times to reach the destination. Missed the daily bus to Petra in Jordan. So had to struggle a lot to find another bus. After the flight was cancelled, it took two days to return to Cairo.
