Money demanded from family to search for missing girl, inspector present in line

Auraiya, 19 July (HS). Muskan, daughter of Sipahi Lal, resident of Barrukulasar of Bela police station area of ​​the district, went missing from her home on 29 May. Her father had filed a missing person report in Bela police station. The then police station in-charge had assured to register a missing person report and take action, but no action was taken.

In this case, after about one and a half months, the video of the missing girl went viral on social media on July 17. In the viral video, it was told that she is in Siliguri, West Bengal. On getting information about the case, the family informed the police station in-charge Bela. The family alleged that the police station in-charge Bela Jaiprakash Pal demanded four thousand rupees for making train reservation to go to West Bengal and recover the girl from there.

The family informed senior BJP leader JP Trivedi, resident of Bela, about the matter. JP Trivedi informed Minister of Social Welfare Department Asim Arun about the matter. Minister Asim Arun took cognizance of the matter and complained to the Police Captain Auraiya. When found guilty in the investigation, the then Bela police station in-charge Jaiprakash Pal was suspended.
