Saharsa, July 18 (HS). District Magistrate Vaibhav Chaudhary inspected the Kosi embankment under Salkhua block on Thursday. The District Magistrate stopped at the 116.20 and 117.15th kilometer spur of the embankment and inquired from the concerned Executive Engineer Flood Control about the actions being taken for the safety of the embankment and to deal with possible flood-related situations.
He has directed for necessary action for continuous monitoring of the embankment. After inspecting the embankment, the District Magistrate also inspected the sluice gate under Salkhua Block. He directed for necessary action for deputation of adequate number of personnel at the sluice gate. On this occasion, Superintendent of Police, Sub-divisional Officer, Sub-divisional Police Officer, Simri Bakhtiyarpur and other concerned officers were present.
