Lucknow, July 17 (HS). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for the holy Kanwar Yatra starting from July 22 on Wednesday and gave necessary guidelines. Water power, urban development and energy minister and PWD department minister and state ministers were also present in the meeting.
Directing the PWD, Irrigation and Urban Development departments, he said that the remaining repair work of every road in every district related to Kanwar Yatra should be completed in the next 72 hours.
The Chief Minister said that the entire Kanwar Yatra route should be cleaned. This process should continue for the entire month. There should be no dirt or waterlogging anywhere. There should be solid waste management, as well as good lighting on the entire Kanwar Yatra route. For this, additional street lights should be installed, and there should also be a transformer.
Chief Minister Yogi said that respecting the faith of the devotees, it would be appropriate to set up camps on the Yatra route for the help of the general public. There should also be arrangements for distribution of cold drinking water, Shikanji etc. Social organizations should also be taken help in setting up camps, although the camp operators should be verified. The Yatra route should be monitored by drones and flower showers should also be done on important occasions. He said that DJ should be played by Kanwariyas as per the set standards, but the height of the DJ should not exceed a fixed limit.
The Chief Minister said that a large number of devotees visit Shivalayas, the centres of faith in urban areas of Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bareilly, Ayodhya, Basti, Prayagraj, Kashi, Barabanki etc. The local administration should manage the crowd in Shivalayas by communicating with the temple management. There has been information about the flow of dead animals in Ganganahar, this should be stopped immediately.
