A sensational case of issuing birth and death certificates on a large scale by fraudulently usurping the official login ID of the Gram Vikas Adhikari has come to light on Wednesday. Most of these certificates have been issued to people from other states. In this case, the Gram Vikas Adhikari has filed a complaint in the police station and demanded registration of a case against the accused.
Vijay Singh is posted as Village Development Officer in Salon development block. He has been given the responsibility of Gram Panchayat Nuruddinpur, Lahurapur, Gopalpur, Sirsira, Garhi Islam Nagar, Kaju Jalalpur, Sanda Saidan, Aunanis, Madhavpur Ninaiya, Prithvipur and Palhipur village. The Village Development Officer used to live in a rented room in the house of Riyaz Khan located in the block. He used to keep government records and important government documents in the cupboard of his house.
Village Development Officer Vijay Singh gave a complaint in the police station and told that the landlord's son Mohammad Zeeshan Khan has a public service center and photocopy shop in the town itself. From where he used to verify the applications for birth and death certificates and dispose of government work with his government ID. Zeeshan had fraudulently copied his government ID and password. By wrongly using the government ID, fake birth and death certificates of about 25 to 30 thousand suspicious people have been issued. In the certificates issued, people are said to be from other districts and states, to whom birth certificates have been issued fraudulently. Due to the issuance of fake certificates, there is a threat to the security, integrity and sovereignty of the country. It is alleged that certificates have been issued to many Bangladeshis as well.
VHP district president Vivek Singh has demanded from the administration that a detailed investigation be done on this, because the sovereignty of the country has been tampered with. According to the police, investigation is being done.
