Moradabad, July 17 (HS). Mainather police station on Wednesday arrested two accused on charges of gang rape of a mentally challenged teenager resident of Pakbada police station area.
A youth from a village in Pakbara area said that his 15 year old sister is illiterate. She is mentally very weak. On Monday morning around 9 o'clock his sister was roaming outside the house. During this time the accused Gendalal (57 years) and Adesh (25 years) made an excuse and took her on a moped to a village in Mainather police station area, where Gendalal's house is being constructed. Accused Adesh is constructing the house. The villagers saw them taking the girl away. The family members reached the villages of Mainather area while searching for the girl.
Both the accused were found with the girl in Gendalal's under-construction house in the village. On seeing the girl's family members, both the accused Gendalal and Adesh left the girl and fled from the spot. Medical examination revealed that the girl had been gang-raped. Mainather police station lodged a case against both the named accused and started searching for them. The police arrested both the accused today afternoon. Mainather police station in-charge Kiran Pal Singh said that both the accused were arrested in the case and presented in the court. From where they were sent to the district jail.
