West Champaran (Bagaha), July 16 (HS). To maintain law and order during Muharram festival and to maintain peace and harmony among the people, Dinesh Rai, District Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah, on Tuesday conducted a flag march from Gandhi Chowk, Babui Tola, Mastan Tola, Nauki Bazaar, Hospital Road to Bagaha Bazaar, Ratan Mala, Poor House Bagaha under Bagaha Municipal Area.
During this, Superintendent of Police, Bagaha, Sub-Divisional Officer, Bagaha, Land Reforms Sub-Collector, Bagaha Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Bagaha Ramnagar Block Development Officer, Bagaha 1, Bagaha 2 Circle Officer, Bagaha 2 and Police Station President Patkhauli were present. On the occasion of Moharram, the DM appealed to the people to celebrate the festival with peace and brotherhood.
On the other hand, Bagaha SDM Dr. Anupama Singh conducted a flag march on the occasion of Muharram festival at 12 noon in Basantpur of Siswa Basantpur and Raibari of Raibari Mahuaba Panchayat under Bagaha 1 block, in which Devendra Prasad, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Bagaha and Police Station President, Chautarwa were present. During this, the SDM appealed to the people to celebrate Muharram festival peacefully.
