Prayagraj, July 16 (HS). The British have laid sewer lines on both sides of 10-10 feet roads by the authority in the city. So why is an unnecessary drain being built so that the rainwater and water from the houses of the general public can drain out. The government's money is also being wasted due to this. There was no need to build a drain. These things were said by the former chief whip of the BJP councilor group Vijay Vaishya while handing over a memorandum to PDA Secretary Ajit Singh.

On Tuesday, a delegation of BJP workers and traders led by Vijay Vaishya met Secretary Ajit Singh in the absence of the vice-president of Prayagraj Development Authority and handed him a memorandum. He said that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh government Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani have envisioned that for the divine, grand and new Kumbh, the roads should be widened and beautified at a fast pace to welcome the crores of devotees coming to Prayagraj. He said that to bring transparency in the work, the government has ordered that where the work is starting, complete information about that project should be given to the general public by putting up a board there. But no board is seen installed anywhere, which is a blatant violation of government orders.

He said that the contractor broke the traders' boards and road signs on the road which were inaugurated by late Keshri Nath Tripathi and took them home. Whereas they should have been returned to the authority or the responsible person. Due to the authority giving many works to a single contractor, the work of the authority is progressing slowly. Due to this, during the rainy season people are falling in pits and breaking their hands and legs. He said that keeping in view the interests of the public along with development, the PDA officials should instruct the contractors to increase the number of laborers and make them work day and night.

Among those who submitted the memorandum were Vijay Vaishya, BJP district media in-charge Rajesh Kesarwani, AK Singh, Akhilesh Vaishya, Umashankar Kesari, Bhagwan Kesarwani, Rajesh Sharma, Padmakar Shrivastava, Shatrughan Jaiswal, Vivek Tripathi, Kamlesh Kesarwani, Ritesh Kesarwani and others.
