West Champaran (Bagaha), July 15 (HS). Valmikinagar MP Sunil Kumar met Kushinagar District Magistrate Umesh Mishra on Monday regarding the cleaning and beautification of the Bansi river flowing on the border of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Information to this effect was given by JDU Chief Spokesperson of Bagaha Police District Rakesh Singh.
He has told that the MP has given a letter to this effect and told the District Magistrate that Bansi is a historical and mythological place and thousands of people come here to take bath. After cleaning the dirt of this river, along with the construction of a ghat here, arrangements for drinking water, toilets and lighting should be made by both the states. The Uttar Pradesh administration should get this work done in its jurisdiction.
Apart from this, he also requested to get the 1.5 km long kutcha road from Pakriyahwa Nala Bridge to Jhauwa Ghat of Manjharia Panchayat under Piprasi block paved. This road also connects Jatha-Nebua Main Road. During this, former MLA Prabhat Ranjan Singh, District Chief Spokesperson Rakesh Singh and MP representative Jitendra Kushwaha were also present with the MP. Since it is a matter between two states, the Valmikinagar MP will soon meet the West Champaran DM regarding the renovation of the Bansi river.
