Bhagalpur, 15 July (HS). Three persons have been arrested in the case of creating a fake ID in the name of the District Magistrate of Bhagalpur on social media Facebook and demanding money. City SP Shriraj gave this information on Monday. City SP said that a case was registered in this regard in the cyber police station. In this case, the Senior Superintendent of Police constituted an SIT under the leadership of Superintendent of Police City.
The technical research of the team and the information received from various sources revealed that this incident has links with many states of India, which are committing an organized crime. The involvement of organized criminals from states like Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar etc. has come to light from the research done so far. On the basis of technical research by the said team, on 10th July, one person was arrested from Ramnagar police station of Anuppur district of MP and one mobile and one SIM were seized. At the same time, 02 persons were arrested from Bhagwanpur police station area of Haridwar district of Uttarakhand and 43 cheque books, 8 passbooks, 4 ATMs, 2 Aadhar cards, 01 DL, 3 PAN cards were seized. The arrested people include Kailash Manjhi of Madhya Pradesh, Arvind and Abhishek Khurana of Uttarakhand.
