The audience was mesmerized by the captivating classical music and Kathak dance at the 20th Ninad Festival

Saharsa, July 14 (HS). The 20th Ninad Utsav was organized with great pomp in the auditorium on Sunday by Ninad, a leading institution that spreads the spirit of classical music. On this occasion, the chief guest Justice cum Lokayukta Mihir Kumar Jha, Divisional Commissioner Neelam Chaudhary, DIG Manoj Kumar, DM Vaibhav Chaudhary, SP Himanshu Kumar and Ninad Director Rajiv Kumar Sinha inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

In this programme organised under the direction of Archana Choudhary, the visiting guests were honoured as per the Mithila tradition by giving them turban, sheet and flower bouquet. Also, for promoting music, the sponsor of the programme was honoured by giving a symbol. Thereafter, Anvesha Verma and Sudesh Sarkar presented a captivating Kathak dance along with the welcome song Ganesh Vandana.

On this occasion, Justice and former Lokayukta Jha said that in the current environment, Ninad has been running an institution for many years to attract the youth towards our culture and music, while maintaining the Guru-Shishya tradition. Due to which, till now dozens of artists have succeeded in earning fame at national and international level. I have been watching this institution since its inception. The hard work of Ninad's directors Rajiv Kumar Sinha and Neelam Chaudhary is paying off. Such events are necessary in cities like Saharsa.

Commissioner Choudhary said that the land of Saharsa is fertile ground for music, literature and art. There was a desire in the mind for such an event for a long time but it got delayed due to elections. He congratulated DIG, DM and SDO for this successful event. Today this festival has started. Such festivals should be organized in the coming days. So that the interest of the youth towards classical music and folk music is aroused.

He said although I got the opportunity to participate in many cultural programs held in the district, I saw that in all the programs both artists and listeners have great interest and devotion towards music. Here literature, music and folk songs are scattered in every particle.

On the occasion, DIG Manoj Kumar expressed his best wishes to all the artists, chief guests and organizers. On this occasion, Anvesha Verma and Sudesh Sarkar mesmerized the audience by performing Ganesh Vandana and Kathak dance. Sujat Khan added to the glory of the program by playing sitar and presenting classical song Aaina Jhoot Bolta Nahi, which made the audience dance.
