Mirzapur, July 13 (HS). Supreme Court Chief Justice Dr. DY Chandrachud on Saturday bowed his head in Vindhya Darbar and sought blessings of Maa Vindhyavasini by paying homage and worshipping her. After the darshan and worship, he gave the message of environmental protection by planting hibiscus and harshringar plants in the temple premises.
It is worth noting that the Chief Justice was to land on Ashtabhuja hill at around 3:45 pm by helicopter from Lucknow under Z category security, but the plan was changed at the last moment. He went straight to Varanasi from Lucknow. From there he reached Vindhyachal by road.
After this, Chief Justice Dr. DY Chandrachud proceeded towards the sanctum sanctorum from the old VIP road. After reaching the sanctum sanctorum, the Chief Justice worshipped Adishakti Jagat Janani Maa Vindhyavasini. After this, he bowed to all the gods and goddesses seated in the temple premises. Along with this, he visited Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's dream project Vindhya Corridor and admired the grandeur of the Dham.
Shri Vindhya Panda Samaj's president Pankaj Dwivedi performed the puja. The president welcomed him by giving him the idol of Maa Vindhyavasini and draping a chunari on him. On reaching Vindhyachal, first of all District Judge Anmol Pal, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Muthukumar Swami B., District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan etc. welcomed him by giving him bouquets.
During this, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Shiv Pratap Shukla, Additional District Magistrate Land Revenue Satya Prakash Singh, Additional Sub-District Magistrate Bharat Lal Saroj, Sub-District Magistrate Sadar Asharam Verma, Lalganj Gulab Chand etc. were present.
