Bettiah, July 13 (HS). Under the chairmanship of DM Dinesh Kumar Rai, a tree plantation program was held on Saturday in the courtyard of the Government Basic School, Chaube Tola, located in Ward No. 20, Gram Panchayat Raj Jaitia, Chanpatia block under the MNREGA scheme.
The DM inaugurated the program by planting an Ashoka tree in the school premises. After this, other officials and public representatives present planted Ashoka, mahogany, teak etc.
On this occasion, the District Magistrate said that tree plantation is very important to balance the environment. Everyone should plant at least one tree. He said that everyone has to play an important role in protecting the environment. Contribute to protecting the environment by planting as many trees as possible.
After this, the District Magistrate also inspected the Government Basic School, Chaube Tola. He took feedback from the children studying in the classroom regarding studies and other facilities being provided by the government. He asked the children to study well. He also took information from the teachers teaching the children and gave necessary guidelines.
During this time, the villagers demanded complete boundary wall of the school, additional hand pump in the courtyard etc. The District Magistrate directed the concerned officer to install the hand pump immediately. The District Magistrate also said that further action will be taken for the construction of boundary wall.
