As Sawan is starting on Monday and ending on the same day, there is a lot of enthusiasm among Shiva devotees. Abhishek of Lord Bholenath, Mahamrityunjaya mantra chanting will take place in Choti Kashi Shivalayas throughout the month and a large number of devotees will make earthen Shivling and perform worship and anointment. During the entire month of Sawan, the number of these earthen Shivlings can be more than 1.25 lakh in various temples and other places. Hundreds of earthen Shivlings will be made every day in many temples.
