Araria 12 July (HS). A Tazia procession will be taken out in Forbesganj on July 17 on the occasion of Muharram, in which people from different Akharas will take part in the Tazia procession along with the biggest thing being the Shia and Sunni communities joining together in the Tazia procession. Thousands of people from the Muslim community participate in the procession with traditional sticks, swords and battle-axes and present physical demonstrations with these traditional weapons from Das Aana Kachhari to the Karbala grounds.
In Forbesganj, on the instructions of Sub-Divisional Officer Shailaja Pandey, the members of the Muharram Committee along with officials from various departments inspected the procession route from Das Aana Kachhari to the Karballah ground regarding the Tazia procession to be taken out on Muharram. Along with the repair of the dilapidated and potholed road, the hanging electrical wires and the trees along the road and their hanging branches were inspected and decisions were taken regarding their pruning and other arrangements.
Giving information on the occasion, Wahid Ansari of Muharram Committee said that recently a meeting was held by SDO Shailaja Pandey regarding Muharram in the sub-divisional office. In which attention was drawn to the problems prevailing on the route regarding the Muharram procession, in light of which the route was reviewed with the departmental officials to resolve the problems. Attention was drawn to filling the root pits with soil near the origin of the procession, Das Aana Kachhari, repairing the hanging electricity wire and trimming the branches of trees.
