Kishanganj, 11 July (HS). SDPO Gautam Kumar and SDM Latifur Rahman inspected the famous Chhalka Dam located in Jhigankata Panchayat of Bahadurganj block of the district on Thursday. During this, Circle Officer Ashish Kumar, Circle Inspector Kumar Pant were also present. The officials strictly warned the youths bathing at the dam and forbade them from bathing at the said place. It is worth mentioning that last year many youths died while bathing in the Chhalka Dam, in view of which instructions have been given to deploy a watchman there. SDM Latifur Rahman Ansari also appealed to the local villagers and said that if anyone comes to bathe, then they must inform the administration about it.
The officials also inspected the land of Moharram Committee and directed the shopkeepers to vacate the land within two days. On this occasion, Bahadurganj Executive Officer Atiur Rahman, Ward Councilor Prince Azam, Chairman Representative and others were present.
