Raipur – The approach road of the bridge on Kotdwar road broke down, movement of heavy vehicles stopped


Bijnor, 9 July (HS). The danger has increased due to the collapse of the approach road of the bridge of Sukro river located in village Sabuwala on Raipur-Kotdwar (Uttarakhand) road situated on the Uttarakhand border of the district. The administration has stopped the movement of heavy vehicles on this road. This problem has been occurring for the last several years during the rainy season but till date the administration has not been able to make concrete arrangements for it.
Every year during the rainy season, there is a problem of traffic being blocked on the Sukro river bridge located on the Nagina to Raipur Kotdwar road due to the breakdown of the approach road. This time also, due to heavy rains in the mountains for the last several days, the approach of the bridge broke from one side, due to which the local administration had to stop the movement of heavy vehicles.

After receiving the information, officials of the Irrigation Department, PWD and Nagina Rural Police Station President Hammir Singh Jadoun inspected the broken approach road. On the other hand, SDM Avnish Tyagi says that he has also inspected the spot. PWD officials have been instructed to repair the broken approach road by this evening.
