Meerut, 09 July (HS). On Tuesday, workers of SP Mazdoor Sabha Bulandshahr demonstrated at the Commissionerate regarding the problems of laborers. The demands were raised by sending a memorandum to the Governor through the Commissioner's Office. Workers reached the Meerut Divisional Commissioner's Office on Tuesday under the leadership of SP Mazdoor Sabha Bulandshahr District President Ajay Aheriya. They submitted a memorandum addressed to the Governor regarding the 14-point demands of laborers at the Divisional Commissioner's Office.
He said that unemployment is increasing rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. Concrete steps should be taken for employment generation. All restrictions on payment of bonus and provident fund to workers should be removed. The amount of gratuity should be increased. Trade union registration should be made compulsory within a period of 45 days. Minimum Labour Advisory Board should be constituted. He said that the system of paying minimum wages to workers should be strictly implemented. Action should be taken by taking the complaints of workers seriously. Pressure should be put on the management to solve the problems of workers. If the problems of workers are not solved, SP Mazdoor Sabha will protest.
