The rainy season continues in Madhya Pradesh. It rained in more than 15 districts on Monday as well. Actually, due to cyclonic circulation and trough line passing through the state, a strong rain system is active. Due to which there has been a period of heavy rain in Gwalior-Chambal for the last 4 days. It rained on Monday. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of heavy rain in 18 districts including Sheopur, Chhindwara, Shivpuri on Tuesday.
Senior scientist of Meteorological Department Bhopal, Dr. Divya E. Surendran said that in the last 48 hours, it rained in more than 30 districts of the state. Cyclonic circulation is active over North-East Rajasthan and South Rajasthan. At the same time, the monsoon trough has come down further. It is passing through Raisen, Mandla in the state. Due to these systems, there is heavy rain in the entire state. This phase will continue for the next one week.
Apart from this, meteorologist Vedprakash Singh says that there is a possibility of heavy rain with lightning in Barwani/Baavangaja, Khargone and Jhabua on Tuesday, while there is a possibility of moderate thundershowers in Alirajpur, Khandwa, Burhanpur; and there is a possibility of light thundershowers in Dhar/Mandu, Betul, Maheshwar, Morena, Sheopur Kalan, Pandhurna and East Vidisha in the morning. Earlier on Monday, Betul received the highest rainfall of 42 mm i.e. 1.7 inches. Khajuraho received one and a quarter inch rainfall. At the same time, there was a spell of heavy rain in the capital Bhopal as well. Rain was also recorded in Malajkhand of Balaghat, Narmadapuram, Indore, Khandwa, Khargone, Pachmarhi of Narmadapuram and Ujjain.
