There has been a special emphasis on schemes run for agricultural development – MLA

Jaunpur, 08 July (HS). In the Kharif productivity seminar organized by the district administration and agriculture department, MLA Ramesh Chandra Mishra said that the development of the state lies in the development of agriculture. In the past, special emphasis was laid on production, productivity growth and food security in the schemes run for agricultural development. Farmers can be made prosperous by adding value to the product, grading, processing and packaging.

The MLA said that farmers now need to adopt farming not as a means of livelihood but as an enterprise. In this, farmers should take the help of agriculture and related departments such as animal husbandry, horticulture, fisheries, market. While planting a sapling in the name of mother, MLA Ramesh provided free mini kits of Shrianna to 36 farmers.

Deputy Agriculture Director Himanshu Pandey gave information about the schemes related to Kharif, Senior Agriculture Scientist Dr. Suresh Kannaujiya gave detailed information to the farmers about low cost technology, crop cycle, balanced fertilizer management, water management, crop residue management, integrated pest management, integrated agriculture system, Prime Minister Crop Insurance and organic farming.

Agricultural scientist Dr. Sandeep Kumar gave information about prevention of pests and diseases in Kharif crops. Senior agricultural scientist Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh gave information about seed purification, soil purification, irrigation, weed control. The program was chaired by District Agriculture Officer Vinay Singh and conducted by Dr. Ramesh Chandra Yadav.
