Samajwadi Party leader accused of rape, pressure on victim woman


Bareilly, July 8 (HS). A Samajwadi Party leader in Bareilly is accused of rape and the victim is not being heard. To escape from the accused, the police is making rounds of the offices of the officers. The victim says that the police has recorded her statement under section 164, but still no action is being taken under the pressure of the Samajwadi Party leader.

The victim, a resident of Alaapur in Badaun, alleges that she was gang-raped. The accused Anas is a leader of the Samajwadi Party. A case was registered against the accused in the women's police station in Bareilly. In which the victim's statement under 161 and 164 has also been recorded. Even after that the accused are roaming freely.

The woman alleges that she had lodged a complaint with the Additional Director General of Police on 21 June. After that, the accused is pressuring her to withdraw the case. Police post in-charge Ashraf Khan is also pressuring her to withdraw the case. Her life is in danger.
