Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that we are with the families in this hour of grief. 3 people each have died in Jammu and Kaimur, 2 each in Rohtas and 1 each in Saran, Saharsa, Bhojpur and Gopalganj. CM Nitish has directed to give an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased.

The Chief Minister has appealed to the people to take full caution during bad weather. He asked them to follow the instructions given from time to time by the Disaster Management Department to avoid lightning. In such a situation, people were also advised not to go out of their homes.
The important thing is that due to heavy rains during the last 24 hours, major rivers including Kosi, Mahananda, Bagmati, Gandak, Kamla Balan and Kamla are flowing above the dangerous level. In this regard, the system has also given a clear warning that in such a situation, the areas along the river should remain on alert. The water level of Bagmati river has reached the danger mark in Sitamadhi, Muzaffarpur, Shivhar, Aurai, Supi and surrounding areas. At 8 am on Sunday, the water level of Bagmati river was 71.16 meters in Sitamadhi and Supi.
