Haridwar, 06 July (HS). Two parties came face to face in a dispute over the installation of CCTV cameras in a mosque in village Mahmoodpur of Kaliyar police station area. There was a fierce fight between the two groups. Kaliyar police reached the spot after getting information about the ruckus and arrested 6 people from both the sides and challaned them for disturbing peace.
According to the police, CCTV cameras were to be installed in a mosque in village Mahmoodpur of Kaliyar police station area on Saturday. One party started protesting against this. A dispute arose over this. Soon the two parties started fighting with each other. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police also reached the spot. The police tried a lot to convince both the parties who were bent on spoiling the atmosphere by fighting, but when they did not agree, 6 people from both the sides, Nisbat son Riayat, Roshan Ali son Raunak Ali, Saqib son Farhat, Tauqeer son Mahir Hussain, Jarar Hussain son Tahir Hussain and Mehtab alias Munna son Ajin were taken into custody and brought to the police station. Where all of them have been challaned for disturbing the peace.
