Varanasi, 06 July (HS). A dilapidated house collapsed due to rain on Saturday in Khalispura of Dashashwamedh police station area. In the accident, two shops located right in front of the house got buried under the debris. It was a coincidence that there was no loss of life in the accident.
As soon as the information was received, police and fire brigade team reached the spot. Electricity supply to the entire area was cut off for security reasons. The building owner lives outside the city. Coincidentally, the tenants living in the house were also not present in the house at the time of the accident. The house was said to be very old.
On the other hand, local citizen BSP leader Subhash Chandra Sahni tweeted to the Municipal Commissioner and informed him about the accident. He said that the debris of the house has also fallen in the street, due to which there is a problem in traffic. The path of the street goes to the banks of the Ganga. Thousands of devotees go to take bath in the Ganga through this route. In such a situation, the debris should be removed from the street and traffic should be started.
