Prayagraj, July 05 (HS). Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad has been ranked top in the category of colleges with best placements by India Today for the year 2024.
IIITA students got the best package among all the top engineering colleges in the country with an average salary of Rs 32,73,000 followed by IIT Kanpur, IIT Mandi, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical Women's University, IIT Guwahati, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, IIT New Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Patna and IIT Mumbai respectively.
This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of the institute, Dr. Pankaj Mishra. He said that according to the survey, Triple IT Allahabad has secured 10th position among the top ten engineering colleges of the country this year. The ranking of India Today magazine serves as a benchmark for evaluating educational institutions in various categories. These rankings provide valuable information about the performance and quality of colleges in various fields.
He informed that the ranking by India Today magazine is based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors including academic excellence, infrastructure, faculty quality and placement record. The methodology ensures a holistic assessment of colleges to provide accurate rankings. The placement category in India Today magazine's ranking is important as it reflects the success of colleges in preparing their students for the professional world. High placement rates reflect the institute's effectiveness in preparing students for successful careers.
Regarding this, Director Professor Mukul Sharad Sutawane expressed happiness over the news of the institute having the best paid students in the country and gave credit to the Triple I family for this. He said that the criteria for evaluating the best placement colleges are designed to assess the effectiveness of the institutes in ensuring job opportunities for students and preparing them for the industry.
