The Namo Drone Didi scheme of the central government will be a boon for farmers


Jalaun, 4 July (HS). The first meeting of the District Level Implementation and Coordination Review Committee was held in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey to review the Namo Drone Didi scheme. In this scheme, clusters are to be formed with 10 to 15 gram panchayats. 36 clusters have been formed in all the development blocks in the district.

In each cluster, one group and Drone Didi are to be selected from that group. In this regard, under the scheme, the District Magistrate has said that there is a provision of providing drones to the group at 80 percent subsidy up to maximum Rs. 8 lakh. 20 percent of the groups have to install them on their own. After the selection of Drone Didi, there is a provision of giving them 15 days training. Under this scheme, there is a plan to provide drones to 15 thousand groups in the next 4 years. Fertilizers and pesticides can be sprayed in agriculture work through drones. Farmers can get the spraying done through drones on rent.
