Hardoi, 04 July (HS). Police on Thursday arrested two absconding accused in Khempur village murder case of Pali police station area.
The police were continuously searching for other accused in this case. On Thursday evening, information was received from an informer that two accused were seen near Mohalla Karimnagar of Shahabad Kotwali. On the information of the informer, the police surrounded the area from all sides and asked the accused to surrender, then they opened fire on the police.
In the retaliatory firing by the police, both the accused Rizwan son of Abrar Ali and Ishtiyak son of Abrar, residents of Khempur police station Pali, fell down after getting shot in their legs. The police arrested both of them and brought them to Shahabad hospital. From there, after first aid, both were sent to the district hospital. The police have also recovered 2 pistols from the arrested accused.
It is noteworthy that in Khempur village of Pali police station area, the accused of a particular community attacked the house of Aman Rajput on the night of 29 June over a money dispute and fired several rounds. In which, along with the death of Aman Rajput, four other people were also injured.
After the incident, a situation of tension had developed in the village. Forces from several police stations were deployed to control the situation in the village. SP and IG Lucknow had inspected the spot and assured the family of strict action.
On receiving information about the above incident, State Minister Rajni Tiwari met the victim's family and consoled them and also assured strict action against the accused. After this, the family performed the last rites of the deceased Aman Rajput.
Meanwhile, MLA Hari Prakash Verma of Jalalabad had written a letter to the Chief Minister demanding strict action against the accused involved in the incident. The SP had suspended three policemen including the Pali Kotwal on charges of negligence. Within 24 hours of the murder, the police had arrested four accused related to the incident after an encounter with the police. In which Rizwan and Taufiq were injured by bullets in the encounter with the police.
