A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the stampede in Hathras. The petition has demanded an inquiry by a 5-member expert committee under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge. A status report has been sought from the UP government on the entire incident. The petition has demanded legal action against the people and officials responsible for the incident. A letter has also been sent to the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court regarding the death of hundreds of people due to stampede in Hathras. An FIR can be filed against Baba
