School Holidays 2024: There is a relief news for school students. Due to heavy rains, a holiday has been declared on July 2 (Tuesday) in all government, semi-government and private schools and Anganwadi centers from class 1 to 12 in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand. In other states too, holidays have been declared in different schools on different dates due to changing weather, by-elections and monsoon holidays.
Know when and where schools will be closed
- By-elections are to be held in three assembly seats of Himachal Pradesh – Dehra, Hamirpur and Nalagarh – on July 10. There will be a holiday in departments, boards, corporations, schools, colleges and factories.
- Holiday has also been declared on July 10 in Jalandhar Assembly seat, Badrinath Assembly constituency and Mangalore Assembly constituency of Punjab.
- Due to the heat, it has been decided to close schools for a week in the Kashmir Valley. Under the order of the Education Department, holidays have been declared in all government and recognized private schools of Kashmir division from July 8 to July 17. Online classes will also be made available for students if needed.
- The Jammu and Kashmir administration has said that government and recognised private schools in the summer zone of Jammu division will remain closed till July 16.
- The summer closed schools of Himachal Pradesh will have monsoon holidays till July 29. Monsoon holidays will be from July 23 to August 14 in district Kullu and monsoon holidays will be from July 22 to July 29 in winter closed schools. The School Education Department has issued an order in this regard.
