Prisoner's health deteriorated in jail, died during treatment


Bijnor, 01 July (HS). An undertrial prisoner died in Bijnor district jail after his health deteriorated. The jail administration is assuming that the prisoner died of a heart attack. The post-mortem of the body is being done.

District Jail's Jailor Ravindra Nath said that Sanjay (43) son of Nanhe Singh was a resident of Birpur police station Chandpur. He was brought to jail in May this year in connection with a case registered in Haldaur. Prisoner Sanjay's health suddenly deteriorated on Monday. He was treated by jail doctors. Seeing the prisoner's panic and chest pain, he was sent to the district hospital at around nine in the morning. The prisoner died on the way. The prisoner's family has been informed about the case and further action is being taken by getting the body post-mortem done.
