Congress in-charge said in Kaithal, will give one seat to Sikhs in the assembly

Kaithal, July 01 (HS). Haryana Congress state in-charge Deepak Bavariya arrived as the chief guest at the Sikh Nyay Chaupal organized at Punjabi Seva Sadan on Monday. The Sikh community gave him a memorandum and made him aware of the needs and problems of the Sikhs of Haryana. They demanded a solution to this and demanded to include them in the manifesto of the assembly elections 2024.

Talking to journalists after the programme, Deepak Bavariya said that the people of Sikh community have made certain demands.

He is completely justified. Till date, the Bharatiya Janata Party has completely ignored the Sikh community of Haryana. He will inform his senior leaders about the demands of the Sikh community and discuss them. Congress will include the demands of the Sikh community in its manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections. Congress has started working on its manifesto for the assembly elections to be held this year.

The main issue of Sikh Nyay Chaupal is to protect the rights of Sikhs in Haryana and know their demands. People of Sikh community have been assured of a seat in Haryana.

On questions about factionalism and organization in Congress, he said that BJP's media cell has set a narrative on factionalism in Congress. It propagates about factionalism in Congress and does not see factionalism in BJP. On the question of Congress MP Kumari Selja's lack of knowledge about the high command even after Rahul Gandhi's statement, Deepak Bavariya said that Kumari Selja is a mature leader and the high command evaluates everything. Her entire organization will be formed before the upcoming assembly elections.

Sikh community placed these demands in the memorandum

In the memorandum given to Deepak Bavariya, the Sikh community demanded to build a university in the name of Guru Gobind Singh in Haryana, to build a memorial in the name of Bhagat Singh on the Ambala Sirsa border, to constitute a minority commission, to stop GST on food items brought for langar, to simplify the process of going to Kartarpur Sahib and Nankana Sahib, to simplify the arms license process, to give reservation to Sikh youth in jobs on economic basis, to protect the art of Gatka, to give priority to Sikh students in police recruitment, to free HSGMC from the influence of the government and to give equal share to Sikhs in politics as per their numbers.
