Six officers suspended for negligence

Ayodhya: The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended six officials of the Public Works Department (PDBUD) and the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam for alleged gross negligence in the construction of the 14-km-long Ram Path and laying of sewer lines under the road in Ayodhya, an official said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the newly elected Lok Sabha MP from Faizabad, Awadhesh Prasad, has demanded a high-level inquiry into the gross negligence in the construction of the 14-km-long ramp and the sewer line under the road in Ayodhya.

Due to the rain on Saturday and Tuesday night in Ayodhya, about 15 lanes and roads along the Rampath were submerged. Rainwater entered the houses built along the Rampath. Landslides occurred in more than a dozen areas in the 14 kilometer area of Rampath.

Let us tell you that on Saturday, Awadhesh Prasad and Samajwadi Party district president Parasnath Yadav and his team had visited Ram Path and other areas of Ayodhya.

The team also visited Shri Ram Hospital. It is worth noting that this hospital was also flooded. Talking to journalists, Prasad said that how many people are responsible, who is responsible, all these things should be clear. Firing a case against some people is not enough. There is a possibility of many people being involved in the irregularities in the construction of Ram Path.
