Divisional Commissioner and District Magistrate inspected the waterlogging due to excessive rain and gave instructions

Ayodhya, 29 June (HS). Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal and District Magistrate Nitish Kumar along with Municipal Commissioner Santosh Kumar Sharma inspected various places affected by waterlogging due to heavy rains.

During the inspection, he visited Shri Ram Hospital, Jalwanpura Mohalla, Avadhpuri Colony, Bachhra Sultanpur and Janaura and observed the situation there. On this occasion, the officials instructed the municipal corporation officials to constantly monitor the water being pumped out from waterlogged areas and the remaining water should also be evacuated through pumps as soon as possible.

The Divisional Commissioner and District Magistrate also gave necessary directions to the officers of the concerned department regarding a permanent solution to the problem of waterlogging. Apart from this, a 24-hour control room has been set up in the Municipal Corporation, where any citizen can contact for any problem related to waterlogging. The toll free number of the control room is 1800-313-1277/1533 and 05278-299400/7311165805. Jal Nigam, Municipal Corporation and other concerned officials were also present during the inspection. The officials instructed to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to drain the water in the areas affected by waterlogging and a permanent solution to the problem is found.

This inspection by the officials is expected to bring relief to the residents of the affected areas and it is being ensured that the problem of waterlogging is resolved as soon as possible.
