Students of BHU South Campus will learn to make healthy ice cream


Mirzapur, June 28 (HS). Deen Dayal Upadhyay Skill Center of Rajiv Gandhi Southern Campus has received the gift of a modern ice cream plant. Acharya Incharge Prof. Vinod Kumar Mishra inaugurated the ice cream plant on Friday by cutting the ribbon. The plant will benefit the students of B Walk Food Processing, which will provide training in making flavored, herbal and sugar free ice cream.

The teacher in charge said that the modern ice cream plant will not only provide practical training to the students but will also prepare them to meet the growing demands of the food industry. The plant will be able to make about 100 kg of ice cream every day. The plant will play an important role in the field of food technology and self-employment. The total capacity of this plant is 100 kg. By getting training in making ice cream, new opportunities for jobs and self-employment will open up for the students in the food industry. Every year 125 students of B Walk and M Walk will be taught to make healthy ice cream. Work will be done to provide benefits in diabetes and hypertension by using the local products of the district like bael, jamun etc. in ice cream. Along with the students, farmers and the general public will also be benefited. The manufactured product ice cream will soon be made available in the market. During this, Deputy Chief Security Officer Dr. Manoj Mishra, Assistant Professor Ved Prakash, Assistant Registrar Dr. Haldar, Dr. Sudhir, Junior Engineer RC Anand etc. were present.
