Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon inspected the entrance examination centers

Gorakhpur, 27 June (HS). The entrance examination for undergraduate and postgraduate courses of Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University began on Thursday. The first day's examinations were conducted smoothly and honestly.

In the morning session, exams were conducted for admission to B.Com, in which 2147 out of 2415 registered candidates were present. In the evening session, exams were conducted for admission to M.Com and MA Psychology programs. Out of a total of 1042 registered candidates in these subjects, 951 students appeared in the exam.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon inspected the entrance examinations being conducted at the Arts Faculty Building, Majithia Bhawan and Diksha Bhawan centers. She went to the examination halls and talked to the candidates and also inquired about the facilities from them.

Under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor, Registrar Prof. Shantanu Rastogi and Admission Cell Coordinator Prof. Harsh Sinha and other members remained active throughout the day for the smooth conduct of the examination and were in constant touch with the centre superintendents and invigilators.

In the university, help desks were set up by NCC cadets and NSS volunteers to assist the candidates at the main gate, near the sociology department, near Majithia Bhawan and other places. The students who came for the entrance exam were fully assisted in reaching the examination venue and in finding the examination venue.
