Century Sports Society won the title by defeating Fifth Pillar Club of Prayagraj

Lucknow, June 26 (HS). Thanks to the all-round performance of Man of the Match Atharva Kumar Gupta (2 wickets, 34 not out), half-century of Faizan Khan (50 not out) and five wickets of Shreyansh Saroj, Century Sports Society won the title of Abhyudaya Youth Provincial Cricket Competition. In the final played at KD Singh Babu Stadium in the competition organized by Abhyudaya Youth Club affiliated to Ekal Abhiyan (an affiliate organization of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), Century Sports Society defeated Fifth Pillar Club of Prayagraj by nine wickets in a one-sided match.

On Wednesday, the final was inaugurated by the chief guest, National In-charge of Ekal Abhiyan, Madhavendra Singh, after introducing himself to the players. In the closing ceremony of the competition, Ekal Abhiyan's Sports In-charge Anil Bansal, social worker Amit Bansal, Ekal Division Head Om Prakash, tournament manager Prabhakar Singh, Gopal Singh and Abhay Singh gave away the prizes.

The winner of the competition Century Sports Society was awarded the winner's trophy and cash prize of 21 thousand rupees and the runner-up Fifth Pillar Club was awarded the runner-up trophy and cash prize of 11 thousand rupees. In the special awards, Man of the Series and best bowler Sachin, best wicketkeeper Raj Jaiswal and best batsman Faizan Khan were selected.

In the final, Fifth Pillar Club won the toss and decided to bat first but the team could score only 90 runs in 30.4 overs. Aditya Verma started the innings with 14 runs and Ansh Yadav with 21 runs. Then the team's innings faltered badly and no batsman could cross the double-digit mark. Shreyansh Saroj from Century Sports Society sent half of the Fifth Pillar team to the pavilion.

He took five wickets for 20 runs in 6.4 overs. Atharva Kumar Gupta took two wickets and Sachin, Anshuman Mishra and Devraj Baghel took one wicket each. In reply, Century Sports Society chased the target and scored 91 runs for one wicket in 12.4 overs and won the trophy.
