Revenue department declared a woman dead, orders issued for investigation

Hamirpur, June 26 (HS). A woman in the district has been declared dead by the Revenue Department while she is still alive. Even after pleading with the officials of the administration, she was not considered alive. Then she reached the doorstep of the Commissioner of Chitrakoot Dham Banda Division and lodged a complaint.

The victim woman alleges that her own maternal relatives have declared her dead due to property dispute. Currently, instructions have been issued to investigate this matter. SDM Sadar PP Pathak said on Wednesday that after the woman got married, her name was removed from the inheritance deed.

Dinesh Mishra of Ingohta village of Sumerpur police station area of ​​the district had married his daughter Gauri Mishra a long time ago. Before dying, he had written seven bighas of land in his daughter's name. This land is worth lakhs of rupees, to grab which his brother and uncle played a big game. Even after the entire land was registered in Gauri Mishra's name in the revenue records, her parents got it registered in their name. She was also declared dead in the records. After this matter came to light, Gauri Mishra reached her maternal home from her in-laws' house where she was threatened and chased away.

The woman complained to the officials of the administration about this matter and said that she is still alive, then why has she been declared dead. But no official took action on her complaint. This woman remained troubled about this matter continuously. Here, Lekhpal Mahendra Kumar of Ingohta area says that Gauri Mishra's name was mentioned in the inheritance deed, but after marriage, her name has been removed from the inheritance deed. No one has been declared dead.

SDM Sadar PP Pathak said that after the woman got married, her name was removed from the inheritance certificate. This action was taken as per the rules after the family members applied. The woman has not been declared dead in the records. Only the name has been removed from the inheritance certificate.

A woman reached the Commissioner's doorstep and narrated her story of being alive

Gauri Mishra of Ingohta reached the commissioner's office with her husband a few days ago and narrated the story of herself being alive and the relationships being ended. She told that apart from her mother and brother, her uncle is also involved in this game. These people told that her father had died a few months back. After which a succession deed of her father's property was made. Her name was also included in it. Seven bighas of land were mentioned in her name in the succession deed but her mother, brother and uncle got her declared dead by colluding with the revenue officials and officers. Not only this, these people have also got the seven bighas of land registered in their names.
