Prayagraj, June 25 (HS). Director CMAT UP, Prayagraj Dinesh Singh inaugurated the 5-day training of district level master trainers on new textbooks, workbooks and teacher guides based on NCERT syllabus from June 25 to 29 under the joint aegis of State Institute of Educational Management and Training (CMAT) Prayagraj and Samagra Shiksha State Project Office Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. He said that the trainers should provide their cooperation in making the children proficient.

While addressing the dietitians and SRGs who had come from different districts, the Director said that the main objective of this five-day training program of ours is to make teachers proficient on new text books, workbooks and teacher's guides. Today, on the first day, the details of determining strategy for using text books, workbooks and other teaching learning materials will be made known. Work will be done on how to take encouraging activities to the children's homes. While discussing the workbooks, an attempt will be made to build a holistic understanding on what, why and how and the process of understanding reading practice and fluent reading will be explained.

He informed that on the second day of training, understanding would be developed on assessment and remedial work and challenges faced in the classroom and classroom processes would be discussed and in accordance with the National Curriculum Framework, various components of learning mathematics would be discussed. On the third day, an attempt would be made to develop understanding among all of you on making academic plans and teacher's guides and workbooks. On the fourth day, discussions would be held on teaching of English language and collaborative supervision and administrative responsibilities would be discussed. On the last day, there would be discussion on determining strategies for making the children proficient and the role of mentor and the process of giving feedback to the teachers would be introduced.

On this occasion, program coordinator Prabhat Kumar Mishra informed that in this training program, 2 SRGs and 2 dieticians have been invited from 25 districts as district level reference persons. In this cycle, teams of district level reference persons from Agra, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bahraich, Ballia, Barabanki, Bhadohi, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Mahoba, Mau, Siddharth Nagar, Sitapur, Unnao, Varanasi, Ghaziabad and Shamli are participating.
