Colleges should upload timely information- Vice Chancellor

Jaunpur, June 25 (HS). A one-day workshop was organized on Tuesday in the Aryabhatta auditorium of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University to digitalize higher education on the Samarth portal for colleges. Representatives of colleges affiliated to the university were present in the workshop in online and offline mode. Vice Chancellor Prof. Vandana Singh delivered her address online in the workshop. She said that the objective of this workshop is to empower universities and higher education institutions with a digital framework for planning, management, delivery and monitoring of services for students, employees and stakeholders. All colleges should upload timely information on the Samarth portal.

Finance Officer Sanjay Rai informed everyone about the Samarth Portal. University Registrar Mahendra Kumar informed everyone about the government's policy to implement the Samarth Portal. He said that from the next session, all the processes from admission to examination results in the university and all its affiliated colleges will be done through the Samarth Portal. After this, while addressing the technical session, Dr. Ashutosh Singh, Nodal Officer of Samarth Portal, explained the entire process related to admission to the colleges in detail. He also told that whatever problems arise during its implementation, the university will provide all possible help to the college in resolving those problems. Dr. Dhirendra Chaudhary, Coordinator of the Steering Committee, explained the information to be filled in the admission form of the students by giving a brief demo through the Samarth Portal.

It is noteworthy that Samarth Portal is a compilation of more than 40 software modules designed to manage various workloads within five critical functional domains of university operations and administration, which include Academic and Student Life Cycle, Human Resource Management and Employee Life Cycle, Finance, Accounting and Supply Chain, Governance and Decision Support and other facilities and services.

The stage was conducted and vote of thanks was given by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Amit Vats. Technical support was given by Satyam Upadhyay, Dr. Prashant Yadav and Neeraj Kumar, Jitendra Sharma, Nitin Chauhan. On this occasion, representatives of the college including Prof. Devraj Singh, Prof. Rajneesh Bhaskar, Prof. Mithilesh Singh were present.
