Action will be taken against students seated in school vehicles beyond capacity: District Magistrate

Mahoba, June 25 (HS). A meeting of the District Road Safety Committee was organized on Tuesday in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Mridul Chaudhary. The District Magistrate reviewed the efforts being made to prevent road accidents and instructed the ARTO to do 100 percent checking of school vehicles and take strict action if more children than the capacity are found in the school vehicle.

In the meeting, the district magistrate gave instructions to identify accident prone places and build breakers. Also, instructions were given to identify possible black spots and install shining boards. While instructing the district school inspector Girdhari Lal Koli, he said that an awareness campaign should be run by organizing seminars to provide information about traffic rules in schools. Also, a five-minute video related to traffic rules should be shown to the children. He also instructed the Public Works Department to repair old breakers on the roads and install reflectors and indicators etc.

The District Magistrate has directed the Executive Officer of the Municipality to identify and construct a taxi stand in the city as soon as possible. Additional District Magistrate Ram Prakash, Additional Superintendent of Police Satyam and other officers and employees were present on this occasion.
