The government has also issued instructions in this regard. The Canadian government said that foreign nationals can no longer apply for post-graduation work permits at the border. This decision will come into effect immediately, which will have a huge impact on hundreds of Indian students.
According to the report, if a foreign national has applied to extend their study permit and is actually studying, this rule will not apply to them. However, they will have to wait until they receive their new study permit to be eligible. Applicants whose permit becomes invalid or expires before applying for a work permit will be able to apply from Canada.
