1/3 teaspoon baking soda as per taste
oil for frying
Instruction:
Take a big bowl and add flour into it. Mix rice flour, curd, cumin, green chilli, ginger, salt and baking soda.
Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously, so that a smooth and thick batter is formed.
Beat the batter vigorously for 2-3 minutes until it becomes fluffy. Keep the batter covered for 5-10 minutes.
When the batter is ready, add some chopped coriander to it and mix well.
– Heat oil in a pan for frying. The oil for frying bonda should be hot enough.
– Take a small portion of the batter in your hand and gently drop it into the hot oil.
Fry the bonda until it turns golden brown, turning occasionally so that it cooks well.
When the bonda becomes crisp and golden, take them out from the oil and keep them on a plate lined with napkin paper to absorb the excess oil.
Mysore Bonda is ready to serve. Enjoy it hot with tomato sauce or coriander chutney.
