Jhansi, June 22 (HS). Police arrested four vicious robbers late on Friday night who had looted a businessman's licensed pistol on Pump House Road in Babina police station area on June 20. The licensed pistol looted from the businessman was recovered from the possession of the accused. The other two robbers are still out of police's reach.
During a press conference held on Saturday at the Superintendent of Police City Office, SP City Gyanendra Kumar said that on the night of June 20, businessman Kailash Sahu, who lives behind the hospital in Babina town, was returning home after closing his seed warehouse. On the way, near the pump house, the miscreants stopped him and threatened him and looted his licensed pistol. The victim had lodged a written complaint in the police station. Taking the incident seriously, the SSP had deployed SWAT and Babina police team to reveal it. Babina and SWAT police started searching for the accused with the help of surveillance. Late at night, the police arrested the four robbers and recovered the looted licensed pistol of businessman Kailash Sahu from their possession.
During interrogation, the arrested criminals revealed their names as Rahul Kanware, Karan Balmik, Vineet alias Binny and Sameer, residents of Babina. The arrested criminals had two more accomplices, SWAT and Babina police are searching for them by conducting raids. They will be arrested soon.
