Late night, illegal mosque, madrasa and temple were demolished in Akbar Nagar of UP's capital Lucknow. It includes two mosques and a madrasa. Earlier also action has been taken against the temple. The administration bulldozed the mosque and madrasa late at night. During this, check posts were set up at every corner of the metropolis and all the roads leading to Akbarnagar were blocked.

Bulldozer runs on illegal construction

 

The administration says that bulldozers have been run on illegal constructions on the land of Kukrel river. 1169 houses and 101 commercial buildings built illegally here have been demolished. The demolition work in Akbarnagar has been completed. Now the debris is being removed. The encroachment removal campaign started from December 2023. In this campaign, more than 1800 illegal constructions built on about 24.5 acres of land have been demolished.

 

 

 

 

During the survey, it was found that a large number of illegal constructions have been made on the river land. The Yogi government will now make the area a hub of eco-tourism. There is a plan to restore the Lucknow Zoo at the same place. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has fought for the revival of the Kukrel River from the High Court to the Supreme Court. After this, the effect of the CM's efforts is visible here. The court has also considered the action of the Yogi government appropriate.

The road was closed during the operation

 

During the operation last night, the road from Badshah Nagar to Akbar Nagar was closed. Police was also present on the flyover starting from the PAC headquarters. After this, police was also present on the other flyover. Police officers were also present at the intersection going from Akbarnagar to Polytechnic.

Police was seen equipped with barricades at a total of 7 places. Police closed all the roads from where anyone could reach the demolition site. Meanwhile, drone cameras were also installed so that if anyone was present on the flyover, he could be easily seen. Meanwhile, the media was also not allowed to go to the place where the action was going on late at night. Apart from this, taking photographs was also banned.

 

 

 

 

Let us tell you that today on the tenth day action was taken against the mosque and madrasa built in Akbarnagar. Illegal construction was done on government land adjacent to the Kukrel river in Akbarnagar, after which the government started a campaign to remove illegal construction so that the river could be beautified. The river front to be built on the Kukrel river is the dream project of CM Yogi Adityanath.

This action was taken on the orders of the Supreme Court

Indramani Tripathi, VC of Lucknow Development Authority, said that after the order of the Supreme Court, the action is going on continuously. In such a situation, everyone has been displaced to another place, where there is complete arrangement of electricity and water. The Yogi government has given houses to the families living in Akbarnagar in Basant Kunj 10 km away, but the people here said that there is neither proper arrangement of living including school nor anything to eat. There is a problem of electricity.
