Dr. Ramkishore | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Kanpur, June 17 (HS). In a workshop organized on Monday by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University as part of the Yoga Utsav fortnight, patients of diabetes, back pain, joint pain, thyroid, high and low blood pressure practiced yoga according to their diseases.

Assistant Yoga Acharya Dr. Ram Kishore said that due to wrong posture, spinal disorders are increasing in the present times. By standing for a long time or reading while sitting on the bed, the spine gradually starts bending forward, due to which many spinal disorders arise. If this is not managed in time through yoga practice, then these problems turn into serious diseases like back pain, cervical spondylitis, slip disc etc.

Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University Kanpur is celebrating Yoga Fortnight on the occasion of the tenth International Yoga Day. Under this, disease based yoga workshops are being organized in four different areas of the city. In this sequence, the fifth workshop was held on Monday at Kailash Saraswati Inter College Kalyanpur Kanpur.

Dean Dr. Praveen Katiyar gave detailed information about the programs to be held during the fortnight. He said that apart from the disease based yoga workshop, various programs like free 15-day yoga training, Divyang Yoga, Jal Yoga etc. are being organized in the university. Along with this, yoga will be practiced in the Rose Garden of the campus on June 21, 2024.

Assistant Yoga Acharya Dr. Ram Kishore told that for diabetes management, Ardha Matsyendrasana, Mandukasana, Bhujangasana and Dhanurasana should be practiced regularly. The practice of these asanas both manages and prevents diabetes. For the prevention and management of joint pain, joint movements should be practiced. In this, the movement of each joint from the toes to the neck should be done with breathing according to the nature of the joint. Patients of back pain should practice Pawanmuktasana, Setubandhasana, Merudandasana, Makarasana, Bhujangasana and Dhanurasana. The main reason for back pain is wrong physical posture or doing more forward bending activities. Apart from this, people who do exercise, but their exercises do not put a balanced stretch on the spine, also have the problem of back pain.

He said that while selecting yoga postures, at least one posture should stretch the spine, one posture should bend the spine from side to side, at least one posture should bend the spine and two to three postures should bend backwards. When the thyroid is imbalanced, the person should regularly practice Simhasana and Ujjayi Pranayama. Suryanamaskar, Anulom-Vilom and Bhramari Pranayama are most useful for teenagers.
