Lucknow, June 16 (HS). The Noida unit team of Uttar Pradesh's Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two accused including an active member of the nomadic tribe (Pardhi) gang. One of these accused has a reward of fifty thousand rupees on his head.
STF Additional Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Mishra said on Sunday that among the arrested accused are Naame alias Nageshwar, resident of village Bilakhedi in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh and Surendra, resident of Rail Track Chimanganj. A reward of fifty thousand rupees has been announced on Naame. Both were arrested on Saturday evening near Guna Sada Bridge.
The accused Naame told that he belongs to the Pardhi caste. People of this tribe roam around the cities across the country and commit thefts. They steal from one place and go to another city. Surendra is his maternal uncle's son. On January 10, both of them broke the shutter of Sonu Jewellers shop in Behta located in Ghaziabad's Loni Border police station area and stole the jewellery kept in the shop. A reward was announced on Naame in this case. In the past six months, they have committed incidents of breaking shutters and burglarizing houses at various places in Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan and UP.
